Birth Photography Session.
Birth Photography is as much about the mother and child as it is about the father, the midwife and the OB.
My personal birth experience was life changing. I did not have a photographer, and as a result all I have is my memories, which as amazing as they are, are cloudy. I know my partner was supportive and strong because I felt his hands on my back and I heard supportive words cross his lips. What I didn’t see is the look in his eyes when I was in the middle of a powerful surge, the cheeky tea break he took in the kitchen or the smile on the midwives face as I rested and waited.
These moments are only the beginning of what a professional birth photographer can capture.
I believe that birth photography strengthens relationships between mother and father, mother and child and father and child.I honestly believe birth photography is a tool for social change, I think the more empowered women who choose to utilise it the more the wider community will allow and accept birth for the normal physiological process that it is
